Welcome,

Since this is my first newsletter column as the new President/CEO for the YMCA of Orange County, let me first say how exciting an occasion it is to join the fine team here in Orange County, such a vibrant area of the country. Having spent my entire career as part of the YMCA family in Dallas and Houston, the organization holds a very special place in my heart as I hope it does in yours. It is a unique community resource that touches people in all walks of life.

I have indeed arrived at a time of significant opportunities to extend our mission, including the complete renovation of the North Orange County Family Branch in Fullerton and the building of a brand-new YMCA to serve thousands of youths and families in Santa Ana. That's just the start of great things to come through the combined efforts of our exemplary boards, donors, volunteers and staff.

Please join me in extending our gratitude to outgoing President/CEO Art Wannlund for his many years of leadership in building such a robust YMCA for Orange County. We invite you to offer your input and suggestions for making the YMCA an ever evolving partner for building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

Sincerely,
Jeff McBride, President/CEO, YMCA of Orange County
