Summer Is Great Time To Invest in Supporting SAC

As we close the door on one academic year and look toward the next, it is an important time to take an inventory of the resources needed to continually improve the fine associate degree and certification programs available to our students. That process, of course, includes identifying sources of financial support to augment our funding from the state. Those funds can truly make the difference between being very good and achieving excellence in our mission.

One of the most important ways you can show your appreciation for what Santa Ana College has meant to the communities it serves is to provide funds to ensure that the college will continue to serve future students with the finest educational program. Several options are available.

One attractive way to leave a legacy for the college is through our Planned Giving program. It can often be a financially smart move for the donor as well. Planned giving offers a number of alternatives to provide support over the long-term. These include vehicles such as trusts, bequests, annuities, retirement plans, life insurance and endowments with the college as the beneficiary. This approach enables individuals and families to establish a source of funds that will be a lasting gift with impact over time. As you consider these options, we can offer professionals to assist you in making the choice that fits your specific priorities.

You can also join a select group of the university's alumni and friends who are providing substantial unrestricted support for the college through our recently announced President's Circle. These unrestricted funds provide maximum flexibility for the college in applying them to current priorities and needs. And you will receive special recognition and access to exclusive events with the college president, board and faculty.

One of the most satisfying ways to lend you support is in ensuring that students have the resources they need to attend college through named scholarships. And we offer the opportunity for you to personally present the scholarship to the selected student at a special ceremony. In addition, you can elect to endow a program or chair to help keep a subject area of particular interest to you strong into the future.

Physical facilities are literally the foundation of the institution. Without regular upkeep, modernization and addition of new facilities through Capital Campaigns, we simply cannot maintain the quality of the education we provide to our students every day. Your support of athletic, classroom, arts, media, occupational and other structural resources is essential. Through participating in these campaigns, you can lead the way in literally building the very best resources for the college.
