What's your daily function at Percentix?

My job will vary from addressing a specific Discovery, Design, Development or Delivery issue or being responsible for the entire scope of a project's delivery. Each task is a balance of: TIME - COST - DELIVERABLE to ensure a client is provided the highest of quality technical deliverable for their investment dollars.

How long have you worked at Percentix?

Since September of 2007, although I have over 11 years experience working in the ORACLE / Hyperion EPM workspace.

How does your experience and expertise benefit clients?

From technical deliverable to technical project management, with over 11 years experience working in the ORACLE / Hyperion EPM workspace, I bring a unique balance of Discovery, Design, Development and Delivery experience to any EPM project.

I earned BS degrees in Financial Management and Marketing from California State University, Long Beach, and obtained my MBA from the California State University, Dominguez Hills. I hold a professional certification in Hyperion Essbase, and also a Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute. I also hold certifications from the National Contract Management Association and the Institute of Management Consultants.

What do you like most about Percentix's clients?

It is really all clients, but after 11 years of the EPM space, you might start to think you have seen it all. The clients always seem to find a way to teach me something new at every engagement. It is never boring and I really enjoy facing the challenges everyday while bringing a process / technological deliverable to meet a client's needs. I always try and give back, so for the last four years I have been a scheduled guest speaker for the Solutions / OAUG conferences:

What do you like most about Percentix?

The ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

What do you like to do in your spare time when you're not helping clients? Any hobbies?

With wife Wendy and two children Brandon (22) and Sydney (15), my spare time is spent helping enrich the lives of my children as well as those in our community.

With Brandon, we spent many years coaching youth baseball and wrestling. On two occasions, I managed the Mission Viejo Baseball Club that competed in China and Australia (the youngest youth baseball teams to travel to those countries).

With Sydney, who is a Sophomore at JSERRA Catholic High School, a club soccer player and a three-sport athlete: cross country, soccer, track and field, keeps us very active in the booster club programs.

On a community level, I volunteer with the Mission Viejo Activities Committee. Had a five year tenure with the Villa Grande Homeowners Association (the last three as President) and was part of the SV - YMCA Parent / Child Leadership council in charge of the programming for 90 Father and Daughters. In addition, I also function as the JSERRA Catholic High School BINGO numbers caller.

Also, we are avid Harley Davidson riders having gone as far south as Mexico, east as far as Laughlin, NV and north as far as Reno, NV.

In addition, we spend some of our free time creating award-winning amateur wines under the label of: "Vie De Voyage" (French for: "Life's Journeys").

If you could travel anywhere around the world, where would you go? Why?

I consider myself a life-long learner so traveling the world has long been in my job description. I could see my wife and myself someday traveling the globe to be mentored by the best winemakers in the world to help us create a better wine than we have done so far.

If you could meet anyone throughout history, who would it be? Why?

I would love to line up a discussion with all the Presidents of the United States in sequential order and have them tell me what they learned during their tenure. For, those who do learn from history and doomed to repeat it. Next I would speak with: Peter Drucker, Niccolo Machiavelli and Sun Tzu.

What's your favorite TV show or movie?

Anything from directors Christopher Guest and Kevin Smith

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and currently reside in San Clemente, CA with Wendy, Brandon, Sydney, two cats named Penelope and Billy, and a Dachshund named Bailey.
