"There are less than 300 days of construction until the 'New 22' is
completed and we see a safer, faster, easier commute. It's exciting."

Brookhurst Off-Ramp on SR-22 to Reopen This Saturday!

This Saturday, February 11, marks the reopening of the Brookhurst Street off-ramp from the westbound Garden Grove Freeway (SR-22). Closing in May 2005, this off-ramp will once again be open to commuters by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. The westbound Brookhurst Street off-ramp is the first of a number of ramps along the "New 22" that commuters will see re-opened over the next few months. The ramp was closed to allow construction crews to complete the Brookhurst bridge widening.

With an estimated 200,000 vehicles using the SR-22 each day, the westbound Brookhurst Street off-ramp handled 12,000 of those vehicles a day before closing last May.

More ramp openings to be announced in the coming months!
