"There are less than 300 days of construction until the 'New 22' is
completed and we see a safer, faster, easier commute. It's exciting."

OCTA: Committed to Being a Good Neighbor

Throughout the Garden Grove Freeway (SR-22) Improvement Project, OCTA has been working non-stop to ease the burden of construction for families, businesses, workers, students and all other commuters along the SR-22. Our mission is to deliver a safer, faster and easier commute while ensuring there are minimal effects on your day-to-day livelihood during the improvement project. Here's how.

OCTA strives to keep the community informed about construction activities through constant communication through the media, OCTA website, neighborhood meetings and construction notices delivered to nearby residents' doors. To date, OCTA has:
  • Developed a database of more than 2,500 residents and businesses along the SR-22.
  • Responded to more than 700 Transportation Helpline calls.
  • Hand delivered more than 105 construction alerts to more than 32,100 residences and businesses.
  • Hosted more than 75 separate neighborhood meetings.
