Signs of a New 22: Improving Your Commute
 
As we reach the halfway mark in the 800-day construction process, here’s a quick look at the tremendous progress that’s been made in improving the SR-22:
 
     • Design is currently 90% complete.

     • Re-opened the first reconstructed off-ramp – westbound
          SR-22 at Haster St.

     • 19 of 35 bridges are now under construction

     • New southbound SR-57/I-5 elevated connector to
          westbound SR-22 is under construction

     • Concrete paving has begun.

     • Construction of retaining walls throughout the SR-22

     • Construction of the first soundwall is nearly complete.

     • To date, more than 745,000 hours of labor in
          improving the “New 22”
