Keeping You Informed
OCTA is not only dedicated to keeping you moving; we also want to keep you informed.
OCTA is informing motorists, merchants, employers, local residents, elected officials, and government agencies about possible SR-22 construction impacts and steps that are being taken to minimize those impacts. OCTA’s public outreach team is keeping the local community informed of potential construction impacts by proactively providing information through written and electronic media sources, public speakers, and providing quick responses and resolutions to community concerns to keep traffic moving during the construction period.
"OCTA cares about the livelihood of Orange County residents and wants to ensure that their quality of life is protected," said OCTA Chairman Bill Campbell. "The transportation improvements we're making on SR-22 will help more than 200,000 daily motorists get to work and home quickly and safely."
As part of the necessary steps in delivering SR-22 improvements, some potential construction impacts include long-term closures, temporary lane and evening full freeway closures, detours, noise, and dust. OCTA is working with community members to notify them of these impacts – before particular construction activities begin.
