Hello,
Looking back on 2008, it has truly been an
exceptional year. With the groundbreaking Presidential election on the national scene, new organizations, brands and opportunity are given birth. And some quite
extraordinary experiences for us here at KCOMM. We'd like to share a few highlights.
Alternative Energy Event at UCLA
The spring 2008 KCOMM Signature Series event was entitled
"2008 Clean Energy and Power Forum: The Next Generation of Clean Tech Solutions." It took place on Tuesday, April 29, in Tom Bradley International Hall at the University of California, Los Angeles. Hosted by KCOMM, the National Renewable Energy Lab, QuantumSphere, ROTH Capital Partners, UCLA and Y&M Partners, this extraordinary gathering was the largest KCOMM Signature Series event to date. The assembled group of
experts and dignitaries included community, business and government leaders committed to addressing clean energy and power issues facing our world with a focus on near term business opportunities and commercialization of real solutions. Topics included
advances in battery power and storage, fuel cell and hydrogen generation systems, solar power, and clean water.
IMA Grows to 60,000 Members
The Internet Marketing Association is growing by leaps and bounds. This unique community offers a valuable resource for a wide range of professionals who utilize the Internet and emarketing for communicating with key constituencies and stakeholders. A major event is in the works for spring 2009 on the West Coast, so watch your email for details to come. The association web site is continually being enhanced to offer members timely information on Internet marketing trends and ways to share
best practices. We invite you to visit
www.imanetwork.org to learn more.
International Trade Event

We were invited to join an exciting effort underway involving
next generation business development on the international front. A special event held at Warner Brothers studios in Burbank featured the President and CEO of Warner Bros. The topic was an innovative trade program called the
Enterprise Ireland project and the Warner Bros. role in contributing to the program's objective of accelerating the development of world-class Irish companies to achieve strong positions in global markets. Sinan Kanatsiz met with Her Excellency, Mary MacAleese, President of Ireland, as well as the Honorable Finbar Hill, Consulate General of Ireland. Other attendees included actor Colin Farrell and writer Ray Bradbury.

Looking Ahead: Multicultural Relations and Legal Services

At KCOMM, we have endeavored to create a unique set of
strategic services designed to support our clients in innovative and original ways that move beyond the traditional marketing communications mix. As an extension of that commitment, we are adding expertise in two specific areas that will offer value to our clients. The first is an extension into
multicultural and youth marketing services. The diversity of today's cultural environment and the need to maximize the potential of our youth have motivated us to focus on these two interrelated opportunities. The second service extension is a program to offer legal services to our clients, in particular as related to issues in business and marketing practices.
Celebrating 10 Years in Business
We would like to conclude this month by thanking
our clients, our friends, our business associates, our families, and the many others who made it possible for us to celebrate our 10th year in business. Here's to a vibrant, happy, and productive year in 2009!
Sincerely,
Sinan Kanatsiz
