Middle East Wealth Invested in Education
Education City Becomes Ivy League Hub

The lands of the Middle East have more than just oil;
students of Qatar now have the opportunity to receive an Ivy League education at Education City, a 2,500-acre campus on the outskirts of Doha, Qatar.
Education City is the largest enclave of American universities overseas and has become the gold standard of Qatar education. At a time when almost every major American university is concerned with expanding its global reach, academic institutions such as Cornell, Georgetown and Northwestern have rooted in Education City.
Admissions standards, degree requirements and curriculum are the same as at the American home campuses. The students are educated under an
American philosophy of teaching which inspires questioning and analyzing, and many students are excited about the broad array of cultures and the new ways of thinking. Students also have the opportunity to travel to the United States and visit the home campus of their university.
Education City is an expensive experiment made possible by Qatar's
immense oil and gas wealth. Qatar pays for the buildings, faculty salaries, housing, transportation and multimillion dollar gifts to the Education Cities universities. Although Education City is small and new, it could be a seedbed for change.

Money from gas and oil is not only paying for elite education such as that found in Qatar, but also for exponential infrastructure growth in places such as Dubai.
"As KCOMM expands services in the UAE, we seeing their work with Academic Institutions, Financial Organizations and the Hospitality Industry," says Ardem Antabian of Dubai.
