Keeping Up with Rapid Change Is Key to Business Success

KCOMM CEO Sinan Kanatsiz was joined by
nominee for Orange County Sheriff Bill Hunt on January 15, 2008 for a presentation on Internet marketing and technology in law enforcement for the
Orange County Executive Network (OCEN), at the
Pacific Club, Newport Beach.
Kanatsiz's encore OCEN presentation on the
secrets of the Internet focused on the
U.S. economic landscape,
Internet marketing strategies for businesses,
search engine optimization, and implementation of
e-mail marketing initiatives as well insights on social media such as
FaceBook and
YouTube. The presentation was designed to help the assembled business leaders use the Internet to their advantage when putting together their own integrated Internet marketing strategy.
The key factor in purchasing decisions among B2B professionals in North America are manufacturers' websites. U.S.
e-mail marketing spending will reach $2.1 billion by 2011. U.S. outdoor advertising is expanding to new mediums such as
electronic video billboards. 72% of U.S. adult Internet users researched someone's personal information online. By 2012, the number of social media users will grow to over 1 billion. Search engine optimization is enhanced through HTML coding and textual content of a website supported by a consistent strategy of producing new content. Social networking sites such as FaceBook that emphasize online collaboration and sharing among users are effective tools for Internet marketing. The average user spends
3.47 hours per week participating in online social media. YouTube is the third most visited website in the world.
Jeff Cole, KCOMM's Director of
YouTube Marketing, also discussed the growth of YouTube and how to maximize the marketing potential as a result of its increasing popularity.
Bill Hunt offered a behind-the-scenes look at how technology is being used in law enforcement. His presentation included technology reform for the Sheriff's office. Bill is the key to progress in
Orange County law enforcement, and his discussion provided insight into his remarkable character and determination to create positive change in our community.
