BREAKING NEWS

October 24, 2006 - Sinan Kanatsiz meets with Bruce McPherson, Secretary of State, Steve Poizner, Candidate, Insurance Commissioner and Mitt Romney, Governor of Massachusetts. Kanatsiz spoke with the leaders about education and technology reform. "In order to make real change in this state and nation, it will take a combination of strong business support, mainstream interest and the influence of elected officials like Bruce and Steve," says Kanatsiz. The private reception was held in Orange County at the Center Club and raised support for the leaders to gain a victory in California.

Sinan Kanatsiz Connects with Rudy Giuliani
Next-generation Communication via Internet among Topics Discussed

KCOMM CEO Sinan Kanatsiz recently had the opportunity to meet former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani in Orange County. The two discussed Giuliani's potential run for the top seat in government. Kanatsiz outlined several political initiatives he's involved with in California including education, the economy, security and technology. He also shared his vision regarding a group he started in Orange County, called the Internet Marketing Association, focused on next-generation marketing issues. Giuliani expressed interest in the organization and the potential for being a part of it.

U.S. Senate Advisory Committee Hosts Gathering with U.S. Senator Thune
KCOMM Clients QuantumSphere and Orange Lutheran Online in Attendance

U.S. Senator John Thune (R-SDak.) was the special guest on Oct. 14 for an intimate gathering hosted by Jack Hu, chairman of the U.S. Senate Advisory Committee and Sinan Kanatsiz, chairman and CEO of KCOMM. The event brought together a high-powered group of area business leaders and elected officials. A primary focus of the committee are key congressional races in the upcoming mid-year election.

Business leaders attending the event included Kevin Maloney, CEO of KCOMM client QuantumSphere, a leader in the field of nanotechnology; and Greg Pinick, Principal of KCOMM client Lutheran High School of Orange County, which has developed a groundbreaking online high school program. The event provided an opportunity for Maloney to discuss important technology and energy issues with the elected officials in attendance and for Pinick to address the potential for online education and the crucial challenges facing schools today.

January 10th Event Marks Shift in Education Reform
Gen NeXt, Orange Lutheran Online, and University of Phoenix To Co-Host

University of Phoenix and Lutheran High School of Orange County have launched a new online education platform for the high school demographic. Currently, University of Phoenix has over 400,000 online university students and over 50,000 online community college students. To compete with rapidly growing economies like India and China, the United States must take a highly proactive role in education. And the power of the Internet is a primary medium for addressing this issue, which will be the focus of this special event to be held at Lutheran High School of Orange County and hosted by Generation NeXt.

Keynote speakers at this historic event will include officials from University of Phoenix, who will share their expertise on the current state of Internet-based education and its future growth into the nation's high school system. In addition, Dr. Ken Ellwein, Executive Director of Lutheran High School, will present his perspective on the role of online education with the goals and benefits of the groundbreaking Orange Lutheran Online program. Elected officials and high-profile community leaders will be in attendance.

New Majority Hosts Event with Newt Gingrich
Issues Addressed Include Energy, Technology and Education

A recent New Majority event was the setting for an update from former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich on meeting the significant challenges the country faces in developing long-term energy solutions, staying competitive on the technology front, and addressing the ongoing issues in delivering a quality education for the country's youth. Among the attendees were Dr. Ken Ellwein, Executive Director of KCOMM client Lutheran High School of Orange County and Orange Lutheran Online, as well as U.S. Congressman Ed Royce. The event offered an important opportunity for Dr. Ellwein to discuss the Orange Lutheran Online program for Internet-based high school education with the high-powered group of business leaders and elected officials.

KCOMM Signs Three Diverse New Clients
Markets Span Insurance, Technology and Education

KCOMM is pleased to announce three new clients representing three very different markets. Barney & Barney, headquartered in San Diego, was founded in 1909 and is one of the leading privately owned insurance brokerages in the country. The firm recently received the "Commercial Insurance Agency of the Year Award" from National Underwriter magazine. The second new client is the HP Group of Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a division of $11.2-billion Arrow Electronics. KCOMM will be assisting in the launch of the group's new line of HP BladeSystem server products. And our third new client is Santa Ana College, one of the area's leading educational institutions for associate degree and vocational certification programs. KCOMM's role will be to help the college build a new alumni relations program.
