Breaking News - Meeting with President Bush this Morning in Irvine :.
A first hand look at the president's road in office, his accomplishments and setbacks

I just returned from an early morning meeting with the President of the United States. Along with my girlfriend Kai, we got a first hand look at issues including immigration, fuel prices, education and the war on terrorism. The president in good spirits today, stayed determined to root out terror across our country and around the world. When asked about the country in 10 years, the president responded by the support of technology collaboration, hydrogen based transportation and increased infrastructure throughout our nation.

The president is now in the air headed to Las Vegas. Jokingly, the president commented about the term "what happens in vegas stays in vegas", I hope he was referring to his economic reform.

Presidential Race 2008: :.
How Mitt Romney Stacks up Against Senator John McCain

The 2008 Presidential cycle is already underway. We recently had an opportunity to meet with two candidates, U.S. Senator John McCain and Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Both gentlemen presented a solid case for their pursuit of the office. Our perspective on the race is that McCain has a logical solution to the immigration issue while Romney scores for healthcare and education. The question is, what's more important to the nation six to ten years from now?

We questioned Romney on the use of technology in government, and his response was that the adoption of technology at that scale will be a slow one. McCain discussed his role on immigration. His solution is to comprehensively address this national problem recognizing both the vulnerability of our unprotected borders and the need to allow an earned path to citizenship for the millions of undocumented immigrants who work in the US. He would substitute fines and civic responsibilities such as paying back taxes and learning English in place of the de facto amnesty that exists under our current system.

We plan on meeting with George Allen as well as other hopeful Presidential nominees.

Peter Ueberroth Visits Gen NeXt :.
Private Sector Seen as Prime Solution Source

Peter Ueberroth came by to share a few words and visit with Generation NeXt, a PAC group I started about two years ago with Paul Makarechian, CEO of Makar Properties. There is a growing buzz in Washington D.C. and Sacramento about our group, and Ueberroth echoed that.

He encouraged our members and prospects to continue to do things differently and change the debate not just because we're young but because it's the right thing to do. He also applauded our members for getting involved, noting that the best ideas and solutions come from the private sector where our members are leading the way. With respect to issues, he said our biggest obstacles are innovations for a sustained economy, improved infrastructure, and education, further challenging us to seek out and promote almost anything that shakes up the education system.

Ueberroth recently chaired the U.S. Olympic effort in Italy and has numerous accolades, including service as Commissioner of Baseball.
