KCOMM Clients Hear Update from Governor and Local Congressman :.

Governor Schwarzenneger was the special guest at a private luncheon this month attended by a select group of top California business leaders. Hosted by the New Majority at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, the event featured a discussion of California's business climate, infrastructure issues, and steps the administration is taking to guide the direction of California's future.

KCOMM clients participating in the event included Kevin Maloney, President of QuantumSphere; Peter Placey, President of California Tax Data; and Bassel Salloum, President of Innovative Financial Services. Events like the New Majority luncheon provide an important forum for engaging elected officials on issues that have an impact on businesses in the state. Making these connections is an integral part of KCOMM's professional services offering to clients.

In addition, Congressman John Campbell visited with many of KCOMM's clients during a recent meeting. Girls & Boys Town, GR CAM, Go Direct Funding, California Tax Data and QuantumSphere were some of many companies who met with the Congressman. Several initiatives and ideas were discussed and new relationships formed.

Growth Areas Predicted by Sinan Kanatsiz, CEO, KCOMM :.

My girlfriend and I experienced some of the West Coast's best of the best. I highly recommend the following in your journey of life.

1st stop: Lake Tahoe. Both Reno and Lake Tahoe will become popular destinations in the near future. Local government predicts a 35% growth rate in Reno alone within the next few years. Several mixed-use projects are going into the city, yielding strong growth and alternative investment.

Next stop: Sedona Arizona. We had a great experience in Sedona and strongly recommend the Seven Canyons resort. Service and hospitality were hands down overwhelming. We strongly recommend hiking to a Vortex and taking photos of the surrounding red rock formations. I've never golfed in a driving range surrounded by canyons, it was absolutely surreal.

Last stop: California Speedway in Fontana - NASCAR. It was exhilarating to watch Jack Roush's team land the checkered flag. Roush Racing and NASCAR are an ever growing enterprise and we highly recommend checking them out. In addition, I feel the NHRA circuit in Pomona is another growing brand - Drag Racing, NASCAR, who needs Broadband Internet for speed?

Why We've Decided to Support Bill Hunt for OC Sheriff :.

Lt. Bill Hunt is running to restore honor and integrity to the Sheriff's Department. Hunt is an Army veteran with over 20 years Experience in the Sheriff's Department. He is the only candidate to work our jails and patrol our streets. You may not know some important OC crime statistics. According to California's Attorney General, Orange County's homicide rate increased 26% from 2003 to 2004 while dropping 3% Statewide. The Register reported that the Orange County jail system is California's most crowded, third most crowded in the nation, so inmates are let go early. This is unacceptable. Hunt is also the only Sheriff candidate with a plan to make our schools and neighborhoods safer. Hunt's Reform Plan cracks down on gangs and violent crime, offers local homeland security solutions, addresses the illegal immigration issue, and invests in our officers.

Generation NeXt Gathers in Beverly Hills with Senator Maldonado and Assemblyman Richman :.

State Senator Abel Maldonado, candidate for State Controller, and Assemblyman Keith Richman, candidate for State Treasurer, joined Generation NeXt at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills last month. Both speakers were very informative and engaging.

Senator Maldonado offered an uplifting account of his call to public service and was challenged by some members on the minimum wage bill. Assemblyman Richman impressed our membership with his knowledge of the California state budget and penchant for reform. He also took some tougher questions on the problems associated with unfunded pension liabilities. After and before their speeches, members took the opportunity to mingle with one another and our guests.

Also among the group were two special guests: candidate for Board of Equalization Michelle Steel and former United States Ambassador for War Crimes Issues Pierre-Richard Prosper.

The speeches, questions, answers, and conversations among our members and guests led to a fruitful discussion couched in a casual and fun event.

Additionally, Co-Founder Sinan Kanatsiz recognized four new members.

KCOMM Thought You Should Know :.
The Groundwater Replenishment System: A Clear Solution to Our Water Supply Needs

Every year, Orange County residents use more and more water, about half of which is imported from outside the region. This imported water can be very expensive and due to growth in California and other western states, it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.

KCOMM's client, the Orange County Water District (OCWD) and Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) are working together to develop a new local water source called the Groundwater Replenishment (GWR) System.

Through the GWR System, OCWD receives treated wastewater and puts it through a three-step purification process that includes microfiltration, reverse osmosis and ultraviolet light with hydrogen peroxide. The result is nothing but water molecules - pure H2O. The purified water is then put back into the ground where it takes months or years to filter down into the aquifer thus replenishing our groundwater basin.

For more information about the project click on the GWR website, www.gwrsystem.com. If you know of an organization of more than 15 people who would like a presentation on this new technology, please click here (Request A GWR System Speaker).
