iStor Networks Adds Storage Industry Veterans to Marketing Organization
Additional staff to assist in growth of channel programs and revenue goals
IRVINE, Calif. - August 27, 2007 - iStor Networks, Inc.¨, a leading manufacturer of network storage solutions, today announced the addition of storage industry veterans, Robert Friend, Gene Nagle and Adam Zagorski to its marketing and support teams. The executives, who each bring decades of experience and success in their respective disciplines, will enable iStor to continue providing its channel partners with iSCSI product and technology innovation, competitive marketing programs, and superior service and support.
Robert Friend brings over 20 years of experience to his new position as iStor's director of product marketing, where he will direct roadmap strategies, product lifecycle management and marketing initiatives for the company's family of iSCSI solutions. He previously served as director of product marketing for Hifn, where his efforts generated multimillion dollar sales for new virtual tape library products. Friend also held marketing and engineering positions with Stac Electronics, Western Digital, Rockwell International and Toshiba America during his career. He is a noted author who has been published in numerous trade journals.
Gene Nagle joins iStor as director of technical marketing, where he will manage all customer service operations and oversee pre-sales and application engineering. Prior to joining iStor, he was manager of applications engineering for Overland Storage, where he oversaw western North America and the Asia Pacific Region. Nagle previously served as a product marketing manager for Overland, where he launched three lines of tape libraries and established new sales and reseller channels. He also served as director of technical services for StoreAge Networking Technologies and product line manager for Quantum|ATL during his over 20 year career.
Zagorski joins iStor as director of strategic marketing, where he will spearhead OEM and channel marketing, including go-to-market strategies and promotional programs with technology and application solution partners. Prior to joining iStor, he served as senior director of product marketing for Aristos Logic Corporation, a developer of RAID storage processors and software. During his tenure, he oversaw all marketing initiatives, including OEM strategy, product roadmap development and emerging markets. Zagorski also held positions with Adaptec, JNI and Western Digital during his 18 years in the industry.
