Mark Ferelli
Mark Ferelli is an independent technology journalist, commentator and writer. He was formerly Vice President of West World Productions and Editor-in-Chief of its magazine group: Computer Technology Review, Storage Inc, Storage Management Solutions, Storage and Government, and Storage and Entertainment. He specializes in covering mass storage technologies and since 1988 has written hundreds of articles on the subject.
Mark is a well-known speaker and moderator who has participated on storage-intensive seminars and panels for Dataquest's Invitational Computer Conferences, the RAID Advisory Board, Networld + Interop, regional and national COMDEX shows, Strategic Research Corp., Peripheral Strategies, Storage Networking World, the NASA/IEEE Mass Storage Symposium, the Tape Technology Council and many others. He has acted as general chairman for SAN conferences and has been a featured speaker at special events for Fujifilm, IBM, the International Recording Media Association and many other major firms in the computer storage field.
He has been quoted outside his own magazine group in international media such as the London Financial Times and domestic newspapers such as the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Mark has consulted on storage topics for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Datapro Research. He has served on the board of directors of THIC, was a member of the Computer Press Association, and is currently a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. Mark was awarded the 2000 Press Access PRESStige Award for journalistic influence in the computer industry, the only technology journalist so honored that year.
