About Our Organization
Girls and Boys Town of Southern California
Founded by Father Edward Flanagan in 1917, Girls and Boys Town has a long history of offering help, hope and healing to abused, abandoned, neglected, handicapped or otherwise troubled children. The organization's mission is to change the way America cares for at-risk children. Girls and Boys Town of Southern California, an affiliate of the nationally recognized organization, was founded in 1991 in Orange County, CA. The organization provides receiving shelters where children stay while they await more permanent placement.
