Tilly's 2006 Charity Golf Tournament Raises $55,000 for Baby Home

The Tilly's Baby Home at our Trabuco Canyon campus is changing the lives of abused, abandoned, and neglected young children. A significant total of $43,000 raised at last year's Tilly's Charity Golf Tournament made it possible for Girls and Boys Town of Southern California to convert one of its group homes into a baby shelter for "sibling sets" of children from 0 to 6 years old. Thanks to the generous support of Tilly Levine, the facility now provides a loving, family-style environment for young brothers and sisters who have been removed from their homes.

The Tilly's 2006 Charity Golf Tournament was held Monday, June 26, at the Mission Viejo Country Club. This exciting event consisted of a shotgun-start golf tournament, a silent auction, a superb dinner with an impressive ice sculpture and martini bar compliments of Blue Ice Vodka, remarks by a very special Girls and Boys Town recent alumnus, and a concert in song by children from the Tilly's Baby Home.

Thanks to the ongoing generosity of Tilly's, this year's event surpassed 2005 with $55,000 raised for continued operation of the Baby Home. Companies represented among the foursomes included Quiksilver, Roxy, O'Neill, Nike and many more.
