Lennar Charitable Housing Organization Presents Significant Check

Lennar Homes recently kicked off the Closing Party for the Montage Community in Compton. As part of Lennar's Charitable Housing Foundation's efforts, the organization requires homeowners to contribute a small percentage of their closing costs to a charitable cause, in this case being Girls and Boys Town of Southern California. At the event a check was presented from the Montage community and additionally another $40,000 was presented within that week from Lennar Homes. This overall commitment went toward Girls and Boys Town's Compton Shelter Project that is due to break ground in April.

"This was a very exciting day for our organization, 65 homeowners were in attendance, as well as notable representatives like Bob Tummolo," commented Keith Diederich, President and CEO of Girls and Boys Town of Southern California.

Tummolo, Lennar's Division President for Home Building presented the check to Diederich who thanked the foundation and the Montage Community, at large. Diederich spoke specifically about the new Compton shelter, which is located one-mile from the Montage Community. He discussed how this shelter will help 800 more at-risk girls per year.

"We are so fortunate to have Lennar Homes in support of Girls and Boys Town. This donation will truly enhance the lives of hundreds of children," noted Diederich.
