Piezoelectric accelerometer features Isoshear design for stability in vibration measurement

The Endevco model 7704A piezoelectric accelerometer is designed for general vibration measurement on structures and objects. Its Isoshear design is extremely stable and insensitive to environmental inputs such as base bending and thermal transients.
The 7704A has been tested in a radiation environment up to 108 rads without performance degradation. It is hermetically sealed against external contamination and is a self-generating device requiring no external power source for operation.
The 7704A features Endevco's Piezite Type P-8 crystal element, operating in shear mode, with signal ground isolated from the outer case of the unit. It is available in sensitivities of 50 and 100 with features including temperature compensated operation up to 288 degrees C, a 10-32 top-connector, and a low-noise coaxial cable for error-free operation. The model number suffix indicates acceleration sensitivity in pC/g; i.e., 7704A-100 features output sensitivity of 100 pC/g.
