Innovative pressure belt integrates sensor, signal conditioning and data acquisition
Endevco pioneered the transmission of reliable, accurate digital flight data with the Model 6361 pressure sensor. That proven performer is now integrated with signal conditioning and data acquisition on a flexible belt running on a special bus. The pressure belt is made up of a flexible printed circuit board with multi-chip module(s) (MCM's) positioned on the belt per customer requirements.
Each belt can have up to three MCM's for pressure measurement(s), and the belts can be attached to one another to extend the overall length. The belts can be mounted to a surface using "speed tape" which eliminates the need for drilling and filling of holes at the conclusion of the tests.
Today, our new network sensor solutions are based on IEEE 145.3/5 and other emergency standards with the following features:
- Designed for flight test applications
- Distributed digital data acquisition for analog transducers
- Pressure measurement to +/-0.06 psi accuracy over a temperature range of -50 to +50 degrees C
- Low profile of 0.1 inches (3 mm) in height
- Network bus communication
- Programmable functions
- Pressure of 2.15-12.23 psia (45,000-5,000 ft.)
- Up to 255 pressure channels on each network bus
- Network baud rate of 2.5 Mbps
- Network data throughput capacity of 25,600 samples/second maximum
- Fluid susceptibility with resistance to water and oils
- Analog-to-digital converter resolution of 12 bits
- Ethernet interface provided by bus controller
