Endevco receives Total Quality Supplier award from joint venture formed by Boeing and Lockheed Martin
Endevco Corporation, the leader in sensing solutions for demanding vibration, shock and pressure applications, has received Total Quality Supplier recognition from the United Launch Alliance (ULA), a joint venture formed by Boeing and Lockheed Martin to provide world-class, cost-effective space launch services for the U.S. government.
Endevco earned ULA Total Quality Supplier status as a result of meeting criteria to achieve a composite performance rating of 99.0% or better for six consecutive months. The company provides transducers and dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock, inertial motion and dynamic pressure measurements to the ULA Harlingen Operations. By achieving this level of performance, the Endevco parts provided to the Harlingen, TX facility operated by Lockheed Martin no longer require complete inspection when received. Suppliers must maintain their rating at 97.0% or better to continue participating in the program.
"This special recognition by two of the world's leading aerospace companies is a direct reflection of the very significant commitment Endevco has made over the years to delivering the highest and most consistent levels of product quality to our customers," stated Endevco President Scott Silcock. "And it represents a validation of achieving superior performance and reliability under some of the most demanding conditions possible."
The ULA joint venture combines services formerly provided separately by Boeing Integrated Defense Systems' Expendable Launch Systems division and by Lockheed Martin's Space Systems Company with the goal of reducing the cost of meeting critical national security and NASA expendable launch vehicle needs of the United States. ULA supports diverse missions for the Department of Defense, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the National Reconnaissance Office.
For the past 60 years, Endevco has been the leader in providing products for flight test, inertial measurement and pressure profiling with a complete range of extreme environment accelerometers, microphones, airborne amplifiers and pressure transducers for mission critical measurements. The company recently introduced the model 71 family of miniature, rugged, undamped, surface-mount, piezoresistive accelerometers for shock measurements from 6,000 to 60,000 g.
