Celebrate our 60th anniversary with competitions and valuable special offers throughout the year

This year marks Endevco's 60th anniversary of providing the measurement community with the most trusted sensing solutions available for demanding shock, vibration and pressure applications. In those 60 years, we've had the privilege of helping to shape the industry we know today by guiding practices and standards, pursuing the most accurate measurement and calibration methods, and developing products that set industry benchmarks for precision, reliability and value.

Our gratitude for the support our customers have provided over the years exceeds any "thank you" we could communicate. So to show our appreciation, we are launching several entertaining competitions and valuable special offers throughout the year to celebrate this milestone with you.

New low-cost, high output accelerometer for
vehicle crash and impact test applications

Our first new product introduction for 2007 is the Model 7285 low-cost piezoresistive accelerometer for vehicle crash, crush zone and impact testing. With a weight of less than 1 gram and a 2000 g full-scale range, the 7285 is designed specifically to meet the challenging performance and budgetary requirements of automotive safety customers.

Ask the Experts

To provide accessibility to charge converters we are running soft cable lengths between 85' to 130' between the accelerometers and the charge amplifiers. We will be replacing Endevco #3090C-600 soft cable with Endevco #3097M1. Are there recommended standard and maximum cable lengths numbers for these to maintain signal strength, or is each cable unique? Do you have this data for both cables and can you send it to me for comparison in our design change?

Maximum cable length for charge-mode piezoelectric accelerometers

Users of piezoelectric accelerometers have a choice of both voltage mode (Isotron®) and charge mode piezoelectric accelerometers. Voltage mode devices have a built-in electronic impedance converter providing the maximum convenience and eliminate the need for special cables.

Quick Tips

Microtron® or piezoresistive?

Selecting the most appropriate accelerometer to measure vibration or shock phenomena can sometimes be quite confusing. For steady state applications, there are two primary technologies offered by the industry, variable capacitance (VC) and piezoresistive (PR). Here's how to choose the appropriate option.
