Emplicity Rubs Shoulders With Champion
Emplicity's San Antonio Branch Manager Javier Meza was not only looking forward to meeting a famed celebrity at a recent event, he was looking up, literally.
Meza and select friends in the local business community had the opportunity to meet Sean Elliott, former NBA player with the San Antonio Spurs, at a recent reception hosted by the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Chapter of San Antonio.
Emplicity is a sponsor of San Antonio's EO, which invited the celebrity to talk about coaching and its impact on success, on and off the court. Elliott spent 11 of his 12 seasons with the Spurs and was a member of the Spurs 1999 Championship team.
Sean Elliott was without ego and spoke freely to business owners on the impact his former coaches had on his performance. Highlighting how NBA coach Larry Brown sucked the life and performance out of his game, he shared his experience on how his former Arizona State coach, Lou Holtz inspired him to success. Impacting business owners to take their coaching abilities to the front lines gave the young leaders the imperative to improving their organizations, one player at a time.
"He reminded us how much of an influence we have on our employees, either positive or negative, and that speaks to the efficiency of our management styles" says Meza, who brought an autographed basketball home to his 15-year old son, Christopher. "Everyone needs a coach, whether its basketball or business."
As a "Platinum Sponsor" of the local EO chapter, Emplicity provides an outsourced and comprehensive approach to employee management. As a professional employer organization (PEO), Meza's San Antonio sales and service office provides human resources solutions to educate and assist the entrepreneurial community.
