Since 1976, the Greater Orange Community has staged an annual track and field championship for our youth. Long known as "Dash for Dare," this event has gathered youngsters from public, private and parochial schools to join in a day of athletic challenge in the spirit of our hometown Olympic legend Fred Kelly. On Saturday, April 29, 2006, the Community Foundation of Orange will continue this important tradition by staging the inaugural "Foundation Games" at Fred Kelly Stadium in Orange. The event will be managed by Cal Heat Track Club.
 
To make this event the success it should be, we need your support. We encourage you to become an official Foundation Games sponsor, increasing your business' recognition through future event advertising and promotional materials. The Foundation is asking your involvement in this mutually-beneficial relationship that supports local community programs while providing your organization with significant marketing exposure.
 
The Orange Unified School District has pledged their support and will proudly share the newly renovated track and field at Fred Kelly Stadium. The City Council fully supports the Foundation Games and the Orange Chamber of Commerce is enthusiastically seeking financial underwriting from local businesses. Although this is not intended as a fundraiser, any net proceeds will be dedicated to the charitable programs of the Community Foundation, helping to fulfill our mission of enhancing the quality of life in the Greater Orange Community.
